Coaches' Code of Conduct

It must be the desire of each coach to:

  • Place the well being of the youth ahead of that to win.
  • Treat each player equally.
  • Be trained in proper first aid procedures responding to injuries of players.
  • Seek the safety of all players on the team.
  • Organize practices that will provide basic training of youth in the fundamental of baseball/softball.
  • Display proper sportsmanship and fair play in all situations.
  • Remember that the game is ultimately for the benefit of the youth and not the adults.

Parents' Code of Conduct

It is expected of the parents to:

  • Encourage good sportsmanship toward the players, coaches, officials and opposing teams.
  • Place the emotional well-being of their child above any personal desire to win.
  • Be sure that there is always a safe playing field for their child.
  • Support the coaches and officials making it possible for their child to play.
  • Abide by the associations alcohol and drug fee policy.
  • Model sportsmanship to their child and expect the same of their child.
  • Provide their child with the basic sports and safety equipment necessary to reduce the possibility of injury.
  • Encourage responsibility and reliability.
